My research is centered on viral pathogenesis and treatment for HIV, Zika virus, and SARS-CoV-2. We aim to discover mechanisms of HIV persistence and test translational cure-directed strategies as well as uncover immunopathologies caused by Zika virus and SARS-CoV-2 infections using pediatric models and patient samples.
