Global Vaccine Delivery

Translating high-level policy into equitable immunization outcomes requires scaling operational success stories and anchoring them in robust quantitative models. Through our partnership with the Exemplars in Global Health initiative and close engagement with the Task Force for Global Health, we have worked isolate the specific tools and policies utilized by countries that have achieved exceptional, positive outliers in vaccine delivery. By analyzing these high-performing nations, our research documents how resilient health systems overcome deep-seated logistical barriers to optimize global vaccine deployment. 

This research, conducted in Nepal, Senegal, and Zambia provides a new understanding of the drivers of childhood vaccine delivery globally, through these individual case studies as well as multiplecross-cuttinganalyses. 

We are also able to work on resilient resource allocation. We evaluate how “exemplar” nations maintain stable financing and adaptive policy frameworks that insulate routine immunization delivery from macroeconomic shocks or sudden health crises. Through this collaborative pipeline, bridging local modeling expertise at Emory with institutional global health powerhouses in Atlanta and abroad, the EVC Policy program extracts data-driven practices from around the world to help nations modernize their primary healthcare delivery systems in close alignment with the Immunization Agenda 2030 (IA2030) goals.
